The Penders are fortunate in having more beach accesses for their size than any other Gulf Island. Discover your own postcard sized place in the sun by picking up a map showing these accesses at Windermere Reality in Driftwood Mall. The beaches may be inviting, but the water is frigid all around the
Penders.

Many hikes are to be found on both North and South Pender. One of the most beautiful is the hike through from Roesland on
North Pender over to Roe Lake and down to Shingle Bay. Mt. Norman trail offers panoramic views, and other shorter trails are yours to discover. They are all marked by signs.

Try your hand at disc golf. The Penders are unique in having their own
Frisbee golf disc park and tournaments are held here regularly every summer. The use of the park is free but bring your own
Frisbees.
Tee up at a regular the Pender
Island Golf & Country Club. The Penders nine hole golf course features a club house with popular fare, rentals, carts and a golf pro. It's an enjoyable way to meet the locals, who consider themselves fortunate that they can golf from March to November. |
Kayaking and scuba diving in our world renowned waters is a popular activity. Lessons, oxygen, rentals, and guided tours and dives are all available.
Trail riding is another option for all horse lovers.
Fishing and boating are popular pastimes and the Penders have three marinas offering various services and rentals.

Bicycles can be rented and repaired on the
Penders. Although most of the islands are hilly, there are circular tours and a few routes that take cyclists away from most of the traffic, even in summer.
Bicycles and scooters are available from Otter
Bay Marina. Kayaks can be rented from Kayak
Pender Island.

Passage Adventures located at Poets Cove
provides many services for visitors wanting to enjoy
our peaceful waters. Services include a 12 passenger
water taxi, eco-tours, deep sea fishing, scuba
diving, kayak and paddle boat rentals and private
charters and yacht management. Courses for scuba
diving and boat certification are also offered.
