Sunrise Waterfront Retreat, the name says it all.  This unpretentious, comfortable waterfront home, located at the end of a pretty country road on rural North Pender Island enjoys expansive views of Saturna and Mayne Islands on Plumper Sound.   Spectacular sunrises might encourage even the late risers to enjoy an early morning coffee on the deck.

In the living room, wraparound windows maximize the views and ensure that, even in winter, the house is bright and cheerful.  On a cold winter’s evening, you may want to curl up with a book before a crackling fire in the massive stone fireplace, cup of cocoa or mulled wine in hand, sit back, relax and enjoy.

And in any season, what better way is there to soak away those tense, city-weary muscles than sitting in a large hot tub facing the ocean?

For those who like to cook, the well-equipped kitchen is ideal – and, of course, faces that magnificent view.   Appliances include a dishwasher, two wall ovens, a four burner cooktop, large side-by-side fridge/freezer, microwave as well as coffee maker, stand mixer and toaster – and a large propane bbq on the deck just a few feet away from the kitchen.  If you want to eat al fresco, patio furniture is conveniently located on that same deck.

Ideal for two couples or a small family, the house has two bedrooms.  The master bedroom with queen-sized bed faces the view and has a roomy two piece ensuite; the other bedroom has a double bed.  A second, full bath is conveniently located in the central hall.  Further sleeping room is provided in the living room alcove where there is a queen-sized futon couch.

Beach access is possible for the energetic with steps and a ladder to the rocky shore while for those who prefer less strenuous approaches to the water’s edge, there is a bench on the small deck at the top of the steps from which to marine activities.
